1. Meaher State Park

The scenic Meaher State Park spreads 1,327 acres over the wetlands of north Mobile Bay. The delta’s complex network of creeks, rivers, and lakes empties into Mobile Bay and is teeming with fresh and saltwater fish.

2. The Historic Blakeley State Park

Explore the rare combination of natural beauty and rich cultural heritage in the 2,000-acre Historic Blakeley State Park in the breathtaking Mobile-Tensaw Delta. The park has numerous Native American settlements, is the site of Alabama’s largest Civil War battle, and is home to the historic village of Blakeley.

Head to Gulf State Park, which runs for 6,150 acres along the Alabama Gulf Coast, for sun, sand, surf, seagulls, and a variety of outdoor fun. It’s the ultimate beach getaway with two miles of soft sandy beaches to stick your toes in, swim, paddle, and fish from the 2,448-foot pier, the longest in the Gulf of Mexico. The park also has the 900-acre Lake Shelby, where you can hook freshwater fish, canoe, and kayak.
